If you have always wished to have a glowing and healthy-looking skin, but you’ve never been a huge fan of store-bought facial masks, then it’s time to make your own natural face masks. The main advantage of making a homemade facial mask is that you can choose all the ingredients by yourself. This way, you stay away from the synthetic substances and chemicals that are constantly being used in facial masks and cosmetics in general.
Lemon and yogurt face mask
Lemon face masks have a beneficial effect on the skin. They exfoliate facial skin, cleanse the skin and remove dead cells. In addition, lemon revitalizes the skin, while giving it brightness and firmness. Lemon is ideal for oily skin and it can be used as a treatment for acne. Yogurt intensely moisturizes the skin because it contains nutritional properties. In addition, yogurt and lemon can instantly revitalize facial skin, so if you had a hard day, this mask is ideal for your tired skin.
Mix 2 tablespoons of yogurt with 2-3 tablespoons of lemon juice. Apply the mask obtained on your face and neck and massage the skin with gentle circular movements for 1 minute, then leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Finally, wash your face with warm water.
Sea salt and lemon mask
The lemon combined with sea salt can help diminish wrinkles, balance sebum production and cure acne. While lemon exfoliates skin, sea salt has antibacterial properties, which makes this the perfect ingredient for skin problems. Here’s how to make a mask with sea salt and lemon for your face: Mix the juice from half a lemon with a teaspoon of sea salt and apply the paste on your face and neck. Leave the mask on the face for about 10 minutes, then remove it with cold water. If you wish, you can use this natural face mask before leaving for work or school because the ingredients used clean the face thoroughly and remove dead skin.
Coffee and Cocoa mask
This natural mask can help you achieve a bright complexion, thanks to the caffeine content. You need: 4 tablespoons of coffee powder, 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 8 tablespoons of milk or yogurt, 2 teaspoons of honey (if you have dry skin) or 2 teaspoons of lemon juice (if you have oily skin). Mix the two dry ingredients – cocoa and coffee, then add the milk and, depending on your needs, honey or lemon juice. Leave the mask on until it dries. To remove it, moisten a cotton cloth with which you dab on your face to remove excess. Then rinse with warm water.
